GT Power helped developed the necessary regulatory filings in conjunction with outside counsel, and provided overall strategic direction to garner state regulatory approval for the transaction.
- Advised a private equity fund on regulatory issues impacting a proxy fight between an investor and a utility holding company’s board of directors where state regulatory jurisdiction over investors in public utilities was a material issue.
- Monitored and advised a hedge fund on legislative and regulatory activity related to utility and energy issues in numerous states throughout the country.
- Advised a potential builder of a new generation facility in Maryland on political and regulatory issues associated with the construction and operation of the proposed new plant.

- Crafted national regulatory strategy for large voice communications provider seeking regulatory climate that allowed business to expand consistent with economic and technological parameters.
- Presented testimony on behalf of power producers in PJM region before numerous legislative and regulatory bodies in the PJM footprint. Topics addressed in the various testimonies included the downsides associated with cost of service regulation, the benefits of competitive solicitations for default power, the risks associated with public power authorities and the merits of regulatory certainty.
- Advised a landfill gas producer that had been disconnected from the interstate pipeline on the regulatory and political steps necessary to re-establish its interconnection.
- Provided communications training for large regional transmission organization in anticipation of a reliability audit. The training focused on instructing engineers and other technical employees on the most effective means of communicating with regulators.
- Advised a large, international, independent power-generation company on regulatory issues associated with the purchase of assets in PJM.
- Partnered with economic consulting firm to provide training to investors on the economic, regulatory and political issues associated with investing in markets with regional transmission organizations.
